Our German financial services team was one of the pioneers in advising on the set -up of German hedge funds when this was permitted for the first time in January 2004. We have extensive expertise in the structuring of and advising our clients on different types of hedge and private equity funds. We not only advise on the structuring of the fund and its establishment, but also on all regulatory, distribution and tax related issues.
Prime brokerage
Prime brokers came to the German market to offer their services to German hedge funds. Our financial services team has extensive expertise in negotiating Prime brokerage agreements with respect to German investment funds, especially hedge funds, and in adapting Prime brokerage agreements to German regulatory and legal requirements.
