Catrina Smith is an employment lawyer based in London. She specialises in all aspects of employment law, including corporate transactions, collective labour law, discrimination issues and the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious work. She also advises on corporate governance and remuneration issues and executive appointments and terminations. Much of her work has an international angle. She has particular expertise in handling highly sensitive and confidential matters affecting employers.

Prior to joining the practice, Catrina worked at another leading international practice where she was made a partner in 2003. During her career, Catrina has acted for some of the world’s leading companies. She is a highly rated practitioner in Chambers and is described as “an excellent, redoubtable litigator”.

Catrina is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She was invited to speak at the ELA annual conference in May 2009 on employment and insolvency law. Also, she has participated in ELA sub-committees responding to government consultations on data protection and the default retirement age.
