Julian Jackson (English solicitor) is a director and head of our Africa division and is based in Johannesburg. Julian specialises Project Finance as well as M&A/Private Equity. His industry sector focus includes Energy, Infrastructure, Mining and Financial Institutions.
His clients include international and South African banks, international development finance institutions project sponsors and private equity funds.
IFLR lists Julian as a leading lawyer in the Banking and Finance category, Tier 1.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge (MA) and the University of the Witwatersrand (BA (Hons)), Julian has lived and worked in South Africa, England and Germany and is fluent in German. Before founding Africa Legal in our Sandton office in 2003, Julian practised in the projects group of a leading City law firm in London. Julian is a regular conference speaker and writes topical articles.
