Ross Lomax is a commercial lawyer. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, commercial, corporate, insurance, regulatory, and resources, and has been involved as primary counsel in numerous transactions.

He has acted for well known South African mining, commercial and industrial companies, various South African and international banks and a number of local and international private equity houses. He is a director in the commercial division. He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (English and Economics) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (English) in the first class from the University of Cape Town, Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand and Master of Laws with dual distinction from the University of Oxford. Ross was admitted as an attorney in 1997 and is a member of the Law Societies of the Northern Provinces, Natal and Cape Province. He was appointed as a director of in 1999.
